12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Michael is a well-built 2018 RHP/2B prospect who shows real tenacity on the mound. He attacks hitters early and often, working ahead in the count to put hitters on the defensive. On the bump, he works quickly and is able to dictate pace to the hitter while easily repeating his balanced, directional delivery. He locates his pitches well and they both feature good movement with hard run on his fastball and 10-4 break on his tight curveball. At the dish, he has an athletic setup with a balanced approach, letting the ball travel and exploding to it with strong wrists. He stays inside the ball to use all fields and shows line drive ability, spraying hard hit balls for base hits. At second, he plays with lots of energy and quickness, which helps extend range to both his glove side and backhand. His hands are firm and he presents them to field, while also showing quick feet on feeds and turns. More reps in the field will help smooth out his actions and make him a complete defender. Michael is a prospect we look forward to watching as he continues to develop.
