09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Michael is a young (2024 grad), R/R OF who worked hard on his skills during his time at the All-Region Tournament. With the bat, this righty shows an open stance with rhythm to load. He tracks pitches into the zone, takes a hack and looks to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Swinging on a more direct path while engaging his lower 1/2 more will help to increase pop off of the barrel. In the OF, he hustles to his right and left to track down fly-balls. He secures it with soft hands, has a clean transfer and works in-line toward his target. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his defensive development. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
