02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Mikah is an athletic (5'8"/160) 2B prospect that brings a lot of energy to the field and brings a great attitude. At 2B, he starts in an athletic position displaying active footwork allowing him to get a good jump on the ball. He approaches the ball in an athletic position with sure/relaxed hands. Throws are accurate with carry (77 mph) with good feel for DP feeds. Mikah has the instincts of a high level middle infielder. At the plate, this righty takes the box in a square/balanced setup working through an active load. He uses clean hitting mechanics and coordinates his hands/hips well to work through the baseball, spraying the ball to all fields. Mikah is a solid kid all around and we look forward to watching him compete in the future.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Mikah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. At the plate, he showed a tall setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/10/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Mikah is an athletic R/R 2B who continues to progress. Defensively, he shoes active prep and works lightly/fluidly on the balls of his feet. He works low from the ground-up, picks it with soft hands and has a clean transfer to throw. With the bat, this RHH has a balanced setup with smooth rhythm to load. He whips the barrel on a short/direct path, connects and hits hard line-drives. This 2022 grad has a solid all-around skill set that should provide success in this his junior year.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Mikah is a hardworking 2B/RHP who leads by example. In the field, Mikah plays with active footwork and shows good range. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a square position with soft hands. Mikah has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate and he is developing arm strength. Offensively, Mikah has a square setup with a firm front side and centered balance. He has a load with a square stride. Mikah has a short swing path producing square contact. He has solid mechanics and is a line drive type hitter. On the mound, Mikah keeps his eyes on his target and repeats his delivery. He has balanced, on-time mechanics throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and effectively uses his front side. He stays square to home plate with a controlled landing. His fastball has tail movement and his off-speed pitches are developing. Overall, Mikah works hard and can improve his game with development.

07/05/2018 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Mikah is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way player. At 2B, Mikah has an active prep step and fields the ball in an athletic position. He works from the ground up, creates angles on both sides of the ball, and has a clean exchange. At the plate, Mikah starts in a tall stance and keeps a quiet head. He has a fluid load, hits off a firm front side, and stays balanced through contact. He rotates the back hip and keeps the barrel on plane with the ball. On the bump, Mikah gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his release point. He has clean mechanics and throws all three pitches for strikes. Mikah is a hard worker and made several adjustments throughout the week. We hope to see his progress in the future.

01/28/2018 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Mikah is a thin, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
