04/25/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lakewood (Denver), CO Mitchell is a tall RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Mitchell operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph. Splitter sits at 66mph with good movement. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and generates fast bat speed through the zone, producing loud contact and great gap to gap power. In the field, Mitchell shows active footwork and makes the routine plays. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Overall, Mitchell is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
