He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

He was active with his feet and shows good upside in the INF. At the plate, he had a middle/contact approach with some aggressive tendencies and worked the barrel inside the ball. His path was direct, he got extended out in front and with more contact point emphasis will boost his situational game. On the mound, he threw his FB from 55-61, and his 10/4 CB from 48-51. He kept his eyes on the target, was easy with his arm action, and had a good pace to pitch. He finished with his chest over his front knee and with more arm strength will become more effective. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
