05/26/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Salt Lake City, UT Morgan is a young, thin, 2-way player who pitches and catches. On the mound, Morgan works in good tempo, he has a clean arm circle, and he repeats his delivery well. He has a controlled landing toward home plate, his off-speed show well, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. Behind the plate, Morgan has efficient footwork, he sits in squarely, and he tries hard to block. He gains momentum when throwing and delivers the ball from a short arm action with accuracy to 2nd base. Offensively, Morgan has a crouched set-up, he loads well, and swings aggressively. He swings on plane and makes consistent contact. Morgan can improve skills with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Landing
2. Release
3. Glove side lead
Catching
1. Pre-pitch actions
2. Widen base
3. Hands
Offense
1. Swing path
2. Lower body
3. Balance

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
