06/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida This athletic corner infielder shows a tremendous future on the diamond. A RHH, hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. He has strength (91 mph exit velocity) in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. De-fensively, he takes a quick first step (6.75 60 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws (91 mph velocity). Defensive abilities are at a pro level as he shows big play potential. Valdez has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Mykanthony looks like a next level player as soon as he steps off the bus, and his play on the field only confirms that. Offensively, he profiles as a middle-of-the-order bat with explosive bat speed and the ability to deliver the barrel on any pitch. He has power from gap to gap from a compact swing and strong lower half. Quick actions and soft hands lead to excellent plays at third, picking the ball with ease. Athleticism and a strong accurate arm allow him to make the tough plays look easy. Mykanthony will be a major contributor at the next level.

09/16/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Mykanthony is a physical young 3B with a mature, strong frame. His strength is most evident at the plate where he stands in with confidence and drives balls to all parts of the park. He is balanced at the plate with a quiet approach leading up to loud contact. The ball jumps off his bat. In the field Mykanthony has dependable hands, reads balls off the bat well and has a strong arm across the diamond. He also has a good internal clock allowing him to play at a productive pace at all times. While he shows well in workouts, Mykanthony also does it when it counts. He went 1-2 with 2 walks in game play showing a mature approach against quality pitching. This University of Miami commit has a very bright future.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Mykanthony is a physical 2019 grad (6'1", 210) who can really swing the bat. He has a very balanced, under control swing that generates hard contact to all fields. He has a mature approach, using the whole field well and showing some power to the opposite field. The quick hands and present strength make for a very advanced hitters. As a defender Mykanthony has sound feet and sure hands. He is comfortable going both to his forehand and backhand and has carry to his throws across the diamond. A University of Miami commmit, Mykanthony is a prospect to follow closely.
