04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA Miles is a gifted switch hitting 2B in the 2025 class. On the dirt, he has active feet and plus range. He gains ground to the baseball with fluid movements and stay under the baseball. His exchanges are clean and shows loose arm action. Demonstrates above average athletic ability by using numerous arm angles based upon his defensive zone. Arms plays at 86 velo and is accurate to his targets. At the plate, he can use the whole field with line drive production. Creates hard contact (L=84 /R=90) with his exit velos and uses explosive and fast hands. Stays balanced inside his feet and hits off a firm front side. Overall, Miles has the tools to compete at the next level.

06/16/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (HS) Myles is an athletic 2025 2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series in Omaha. In the field, Myles shows athletic actions, with active/efficient footwork, and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in an open and crouched stance from the right side. Shows good barrel control and hits into a firm front side. A flat barrel path enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph during BP. From the left side, he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and is centered at contact. Has a fast barrel through hitting zone as he hit balls in to both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during his round of BP. In live game action, he made consistent contact and reached base 3 times on a double, a single, and a base on balls. Overall, Myles is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field. We look forward to seeing what his future holds.

01/17/2022 - All-In Membership - Sonoma, CA Myles is a SS/2B prospect out of Benicia, CA in the class of 2025. Defensively, he displayed quick feet with great angles to cover ground. He is fundamentally sound when fielding by getting in a low position with his eyes behind his glove while working through the baseball to his target. His throws were accurate and on line with a good arm action. Offensively, he used a square set up with a short stride to find balance and work to a firm front side. He had explosive hands with a direct path to the ball which enabled him to make hard consistent contact to all fields with gap to gap power. Myles is a strong prospect who will continue to develop his game over time and put himself where he needs to be to get to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
