02/27/2021 - All-In Membership - Ruther Glen (Richmond), VA Myles is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (87 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter but projects best as a LHH. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. Fastball shows a range of 77-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with downward tilt and shows as a quality pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Myles has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
