Official Scouting Report

  • C/3BPosition Projection

07/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Highland Park (DFW), TX Myles is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays 3B. Behind the plate, Myles has active feet, presentable hands, and he fields in a square position. He sticks the ball well, keeps it in front when blocking, and throws with momentum to 2nd base after a clean exchange. At 3B, Myles fields in a low/square position, footwork is efficient, and he funnels the ball well. He centers on his body and throws with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Myles can hit from both sides of the plate. From the right, Myles swings aggressively, he finds the barrel of the bat, and hits hard to the pull side. From the left, Myles has a quick bat, he can spray to all fields, and he makes hard contact. Overall skills can get better if Myles can work on the following.

1. Footwork

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
