06/05/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Najer is a strong, athletic RHP/OF who has a tremendous future on the diamond. On the mound, delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 89-92 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break and shows as an outstanding pitch that will get outs. Control is superior as he throws strikes with all his pitches, locating to both sides of the plate. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. 6.58 60 time. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Throws are accurate with on line zip to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving (92 mph exit velocity) to all parts of the field. Najer has the makings of a special type player with the makings of a solid draft pick in 2020.

09/15/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Najer is an athletic RHP prospect who showed well at the Futures East showcase. On the mound, Najer gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline towards the plate. Najer shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 88mph with good arm side run. Breaking ball sits at 70mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 77mph with late arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Najer is a talented prospect who has the skill set to excel at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
