01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nash is a very talented 2-way prospect who continues to impress and make great strides in his game. Speed (60 yard = 6.94), a cannon for an arm (88 mph), the ability to hit and pitch at a superior level, this guy has it all. Defensively, he utilizes his quick feet and athletic actions to works fluidly right to left at the GB hit right at him. He has + lateral range and makes the tough plays to his right and left look easy. Transfer is quick with strong/accurate throws across the diamond. With that bat, he shows a tall/open stance with rhythm to load. Quick hands whip the barrel with + bat speed as he engages his strong lower 1/2 to generate pop off of the bat. On the mound, Nash works tall, has smooth separation and gets strong glove-side lead/tuck. He drives off of the rubber well and repeats his delivery. FB tops out at 78 mph with slight tailing action. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape - 64-66 mph. He pounds the zone and challenges hitters to swing the bat. This 2025 grad is fun to watch and is a definite follow for the years to come.

12/06/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pensacola, FL Nash is an athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are active and plays through with his body. Glove action and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves his foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball ranges from 73-77 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Nash has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
