01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Nate is a talented shortstop prospect who has a lean, athletic build. In the field, Nate has a good ready position and he moves with active footwork. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a square position. Nate has a quick, clean exchange leading into a short arm action. He plays with momentum through the baseball throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Nate shows accurate throws with strong carry across the diamond. As a right-handed hitter, Nate has an open setup with comfortable hands. He has an activated load with an open stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Nate shows fast bat speed and gets good extension at contact. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball. Nate has the ability to drive the ball to the pull side with power. Overall, Nate has an above average talent on both sides of the ball giving him a bright future on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
