01/16/2015 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
Nate's offensive performance was culminated with a triple, a single, and a walk at the Under Armour Baseball Factory Pre-Season All America Tournament. Offensively, he continues to show sound mechanics from both sides, with plus feel for the barrel on the right side. He is quiet with his actions and maintains a middle approach with lower half drive. He is slightly more advanced from the right side, currently, but with the majority of pitching being right handed, will begin to show more comfortability as he gets through his junior season. Defensively, he showed the arm strength necessary to make plays in the deep six hole, and worked his feet efficiently right and left for added range. He was sure with the glove and clean with his exchange to make and finish plays. Overall - Nate's an athletic switching middle infielder that has the glove to stay there as the game speeds up.

Nate is a young SS that will graduate in 2016. Feet are active as he works to get around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean as he presents well out front. He works to get rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Fassnacht shows an open / balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path and makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he adds more overall body strength. With 3 years to further develop, Nate has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
