11/01/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Nathan is a 3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 3B, Nathan shows active footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into a low position and fields the ball with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Staying low when moving to throw can help Nathan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Nathan can improve as a hitter by continuing to add strength. Overall, Nathan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/03/2018 - College Recruiting Day - Ellicott City, MD Nathan is a 3B prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Nathan shows efficient footwork and takes a good first step. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front. He makes a clean exchange is is synchronized with his release, keeping his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is controlled getting into a small load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
