10/09/2013 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Nathan continues to show as a RHP/3B, projecting best on the mound for the next level where he has a big upside. Delivery is outstanding, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 84-86 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with sinking action. Off speed pitches are outstanding and will get outs at the next level. Command / control are outstanding as well as he throws strikes with all his pitches to both sides of the plate and changes speeds well. He had 4 quality innings at the event. At 3B, feet are active as he works to square balls up, moves well to glove side, and displays soft / clean hands. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he attacks ground balls, plays through and presents hands more out front. At the plate, he shows a squared / athletic setup with balance. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap power.
