04/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bristol, VA Nathan is a lean and athletic switch hitting OF/RHP prospect in the 2023 class. In the field, he can track the ball well with his speed (7.13 60 yd). Works hard to position himself behind the baseball and create his last step forward. Has a clean exchange and uses an over-the-top motion to make accurate feeds back to the dirt. On the mound he throws 4 pitches. His FB topped at 72. His CB sat 58-60 and had 10/4 shape. His slider sat 64-65 with a tighter break. His CH complimented his FB speed at sat 63-5. Working to stay in line to the plate and use his lower half will generate more velo and downward trajectory on his ball flight. At the plate, he has quick hands from both sides. From the left he rotates his body well and uses the whole field. From the left, he has a level path and is strong to his pull side. Overall, Nathan is a solid player and has two years to develop and gain strength and repetitions to become the player he wants to be.

08/20/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Nathan is a L/R (2021 grad) SS/RHP. Defensively at SS, he's aggressive on his feet as he attacks the GB. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. On the mound, this righty delivers a FB with free arm action. He commands his pitch in and around the zone and finishes square towards home plate. With the stick, Nathan displays a square setup. He takes aggressive hacks through the zone and is a contact type hitter. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
