01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nathan is a 2026 C/2B who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Behind the plate, he has a low-athletic setup and presents has firm hands. He has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly to second base. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and uses good momentum with his throws. He gets a good chin tuck blocking and centers his body over the plate. Nathan does a great job of recovering to his feet on balls in the dirt. He had a best pop time of 2.13s. At the plate, he has a relaxed stance and a comfortable hand slot. He has controlled rhythm and gets good extension. In the game, he showed great plate awareness picking up several walks and working deep into at-bats. He also had several hard outs. With several years to grow and mature we expect to see Nathan develop on the baseball field.

05/16/2021 - All-In Membership - Houston, TX Nathan is a C/SS who will graduate in 2026. Athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining and plenty of time to do it. Primary C, has low sit, with quick feet, and athletic actions behind the plate. Showed good footwork as he works in-line towards second base. Creates good blocking angles with ability to smoother balls. Presents a nice target for pitchers to throw to. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 73mph and a best pop time of 2.44 seconds. At SS, he starts with quick/active footwork as he creates good fielding angles. Fields from the ground up, with a low funnel, as he gathers nicely and works towards target. Clean transfer with accurate and online throws across the diamond at 73mph from multiple arm slots. Showed good touch on his DP feed and nice footwork on his DP pivot. A left-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Simple/repeatable swing that starts with a square stride and small load. Flat bat path through the zone with good extension out front. Showed some late bat whip as he hit line drives into both gaps and recorded a bat exit velocity of 77mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Nathan having opportunities to play high school baseball and beyond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
