12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Nathan is a 2023 graduate out of Port St. Lucie, FL who continues to show as a prospect with his abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (82 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Range is a plus as he covers lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (86 mph exit velocity) as he has strength in his swing. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with a 2B and HR. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 76-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows good mound presence and competes on the bump.

12/12/2020 - Florida Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Nathan swings the bat with intent through a squared athletic setup. He loads well and stays connected with hands working through a level swing path. Hands are quick and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered.

07/13/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Nathan is a skilled OF who excels at the plate. Offensively, this RHH shows a square/athletic setup with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation, fires the barrel with + bat speed on a short/direct path and connects creating consistent/hard contact. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and is aggressive in tracking down fly-balls hit to his right and left. He works behind the ball, secures it with 2-hands and has a clean transfer to throw. Gould (2023 grad) has a solid skill-set that should provide success on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
