Baseball Factory Denver All-Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Nathan is an OF/RHP prospect who graduated in 2021. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. In the OF, athletic actions, with good reads off the bat, and efficient footwork enables him to take good routes to balls. Athletic fielding position as he fields ball out front with ability to make routine plays. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 82mph into infield. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher works with good direction and repeats his delivery. Good balance point and changes planes. Attacks hitters with a FB that was up to 78mph, a breaking ball 11/5 shape and late breaking action, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. In 2 innings of work, Nathan allowed 1 hit and punched out 4 batters. A right-handed hitter, starts with a tall and open stance. Good rhythm to swing who incorporates his lower half well. Flat barrel path, with a high finish, and ability to hit line drives into both gaps. Had a double, with a bat exit velocity of 81mph, in live game action. As he continues to develop, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

06/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Nathan is a class of 2021 OF/RHP. In the field, he uses active feet to help take him to the ball. Shows off the ability to cover ground and is a good athlete when fielding. Loose arm action and creates momentum to throw helping his throws have carry. At the plate, he shows some athleticism in his swing. Stays balanced and does a good job using his lower ½ throughout his swing. Has a direct swing path and gets on plane early. Has a line drive approach to all fields. On the mound, he does a good job repeating his simple mechanics. Throws 3 pitches for a strike. Fastball is best pitch and was up to 80 MPH. Breaking ball was 11-5 shaped with late action. Nathan is a well-rounded prospect that we hope to see in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
