12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Nathan is a 2024 prospect out of Leander, TX who continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. At 1B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (88 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, driving the ball to all parts of the field. Lower half work well through the swing and he shows a feel for the barrel. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Nathan enters his sophomore baseball season.

10/10/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Georgetown, TX Nathan is a solid 1B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows smooth/fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.38 60 time) in covering ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. With 3 years to further develop, Nathan has potential and will get looks collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
