01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Nathan is a 3B/RHP who showed well at the Under Armour All American event. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick (exit velocity 97 mph). At 3B, he has plus lateral range (7.01 60 time), working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. On the mound, this righty has a 2 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 76-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/06/2019 - College PREP - Grapevine (DFW), TX Nathan continues to show improvements in his baseball and shows as a top prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.88 runner. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying pro level hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and explosive (97 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing, driving ball to the deepest part of the ball park. He will hit and hit with power at the next level. In the OF, he has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively as not many balls will land that are hit his way. Range is a outstanding as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At 3B, feet are active as he works to square balls and presents soft /sure hands. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (86 mph velocity) on his throws.

07/16/2019 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Nathan continues to show the makings of a special type player and he is a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through with his body. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with on line zip (91 mph velocity) through his target. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. At the plate, continues to shine, displaying tremendous power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing, driving the ball to the deepest part of the park.

05/12/2019 - College PREP - Justin (DFW), TX Nathan is a stud 2020 3B that has continued to show improvement on the diamond. He has dropped his 60 time to a 6.89. Nathan shows good feel at 3B with good pre pitch footwork and plus lateral range. He makes smooth exchanges and gets the ball across the diamond with some carry. At the plate Nathan shows a lot of athleticism with line drives in the gaps. He has an athletic setup, short and smooth to the ball with explosive bat speed to the ball. Nathan continues to grow his ability in the field and at the dish, the future is exciting for this 2020 grad.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Nathan is beginning to solidify himself as a strong 2020 3B and power prospect. Also a two-way player, he excels defensively at 3B with quick and active feet and very polished glove technique. Fields the ball in front, plays through and delivers strong throws across the diamond with good carry and life. With his solid frame, looks to project very nicely. On the mound. he is very sure of his delivery and works with good poise and pace. Has clean and simple mechanics. Mixes in a Fastball ranging from 75-79 mph with good arm side run that break late with command, A Curveball (69-72mph) with 9-3 shape and gradual break. Also works in a Changeup (70-71mph) with sinking action to keep hitters off balance. At the plate, Nathan looks to keep establishing himself a power prospect. Has explosive bat speed and showed big time pull power. During gameplay he blasted an RBI triple deep to dead center field. Stays controlled through his swing with good actions. Expect big things from Nathan.

10/17/2018 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Nathan continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date at 7.07. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, he continues to shine, displaying smooth / clean actions. He attacks ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and displays a solid backhand. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with zip (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/18/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Nathan continues to show shine on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. He will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-78 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program and building more arm strength with aid in further development on the mound. Mental makeup may be his best tool as he plays the game the right way.

04/08/2018 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Nathan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.25. In the MIF, he shows smooth / clean actions. He displays proper footwork in creating proper angles in attacking and playing through balls with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, power potential is tremendous through a squared setup. He takes an aggressive swing with outstanding bat speed (89 mph exit velocity) which leads to solid contact. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and throws from a ¾ arm slot. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Overall, Nathan is a prospect with time and room to progress his game.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Nathan is a positive minded 2020 SS/RHP prospect with a strong lower half. At SS, Nathan presents a low/early glove, has soft hands, and a clean exchange. Nathan needs to continue to work from the ground up, reading the pace of the play, and being aggressive to the ball. At the plate, Nathan has an athletic stance, gets his front foot down on time, and stays balanced through contact. He utilizes his lower half; shows plus bat speed, and gets his barrel to the ball consistently. Simplifying the hands during his load, and keeping good posture will help him read the ball out of the pitchers hand. On the bump, Nathan is a ground ball pitcher that works at a fast pace. Continuing to separate on time, finishing over the front side, and repeating his delivery will help him to command the strike zone. Working ahead and developing his secondary pitches will elevate his game to the next level. Nathan shows confidence on the field and makes the routine play look routine. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/18/2017 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Nathan is a talented 2B/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2020. As a right-handed hitter, Nathan has a square, athletic stance with a firm front side. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride. Nathan shows fast bat speed with strong hands and an on-plane swing. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball producing square contact. Nathan possess raw power and has the ability to drive the ball to the pull side. In the field, Nathan plays with effective footwork and covers good ground in each direction laterally. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low, athletic position. He does a nice job playing through the baseball with momentum towards his target showing consistently strong, accurate throws. Nathan has a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He give a smooth double play feed and is quick with his exchange. On the mound, Nathan has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. Nathan stays square to home plate with a controlled landing and rotates towards his target as he finishes with his chest over his front knee. His fastball has arm side run and his changeup has good depth while his slider is developing. Overall, Nathan is a well-rounded prospect who has a talented skill set and bright future on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
