12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Nathan is a class of 2024 RHP/OF who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament. In the OF, he creates good fielding angles and covers ground in all directions. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a long arm stroke, and arm velocity up to 77mph. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectible frame. He gets a good rear hip coil, with a clean leg lift, and rides his back leg down the slope of the mound. Has a good glove tuck and is around the zone with his pitches. He challenges hitters with a FB that sits 74-75mph with good movement in zone and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with big breaking action. In 3 innings of work, Nathan punched out 2 batters and allowed 2 hits. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with good hand separation. Showed a fast barrel and ability to keep it in the zone for a long time. He hit line drives consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. In live game action, he reached base 2 times with a single and a base on ball. As Nathan continues to grow and develop, we see him continuing to make big strides on the baseball field.
