02/20/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - San Bernardino, CA Nathan is a young, 2-way player who catches and plays 1st base. Behind the plate, Nathan has active feet, he holds a good target, and hands are soft. He takes good angles to block, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and momentum to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.58 seconds. Looser actions and added arm strength will help improve catching skills. At 1B, Nathan has good footwork, he covers ground, and makes plays consistently. He stays low throughout the fielding process, and has some accuracy across the diamond. Abilities in the INF can get better if Nathan can play lower, more through the ball, and improve throwing accuracy. At the plate, Nathan has an open stance, some timing, and he works the middle of the field. He gets the bat through the zone well and makes consistent contact. Hitting numbers can improve with work on stride/load, timing, and barrel accuracy.
