12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Nelson proved once again to be a promising ball player with present tools. Offensively, he showed good rhythm to get ready to hit, and generated good bat speed to and through the zone. He showed strength in his approach and hit with some pop. Defensively in the OF, he worked to his fielding position on-time, and had a soft glove to secure the baseball. He threw with carry to his targets and has even more life in the arm as he works the body more behind and through the play. On the mound, the southpaw threw a FB, late-breaking SL, and CH. His arm was live and he has the ideal pitcher's frame with even more untapped velo in his lower half and mechanics. In all - Nelson is a promising prospect that has a lot of strengths with a high ceiling when he implements work and coaching.
