12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Nicholai continues to impress on the field, with improvements in many aspects of his game. He is a well rounded player who anchors the infield at short and shows top of the order potential at the plate. He is aggressive to the ball at short and works behind it to get momentum to his target. He has a very strong arm to make long throws from clean, quick hands. At the dish, he is loose and strong on a level, smooth path to the ball. He makes consistent, hard contact, rotating his lower half to drive the ball from gap to gap. Solidifying his approach will lead to more consistent at bats and base hits. Nicholai is a talented player with lots fo potential.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
