01/13/2023 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (HS) Nicholas is a 2025 RHP/SS prospect. In the field, he displays good hands and athletic movements. He gets himself in a good ready position on the balls of his feet and flashes good range. He flows through the ball, keeping his hands out front and momentum moving towards his target. His double play feeds are accurate and his throws across the diamond have carry. Overall an impressive fielder. At the plate, he starts with a squared, athletic stance. His stride is short and he's balanced throughout. Can work to keep his barrel more through the zone with a more engaged lower half. On the mound, he flashed impressive command and a FB with arm side run that he ran up to 79 mph. The offspeed stuff plays. His BB has good tilt and gradual break, and his CH has good arm side run. Gets good balance and extension and is aggressive with his FB. With a little more engaged lower half Nicholas should be able to improve on his velo. Excited to see him in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
