12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Nicholas is an athletic and coachable SS/3B, who in his time at Pirate City, asked good questions and showed a desire to get better every single day. Offensively, he showed a patient and line drive oriented approach, as he sprayed the ball to all fields with some pop. Hand to eye coordination/path to the ball were both plusses, as he also showed impressive bat speed (80 mph exit velocity) and control of the barrel of the bat. In the infield, he displayed reliable hands, which were presented out in front early and worked cleanly through the ball. Footwork was fluid and direct to the ball, however, working to keep his feet moving throughout the fielding and throwing process will help generate momentum and velocity on his throws to 1st base. Overall, Nicholas is a very talented, young prospect, who has a high ceiling on the diamond.
