Nicholas showed well offensively in Madison and improved in several areas since his last workout. Behind the plate, Nicholas sits-in low, he has solid stance, and he blocks the ball well. He recovers well, has a clean exchange, and good direction toward his target. Nicholas will need to work on balance, add arm strength, and work on throwing accuracy for catching skills to get better. In the OF, Nicholas has playable hands and feet and he moves well to the ball. He keeps it in front, has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy from a short arm action to his target. If Nicholas can soften his glove, play more through the ball, and quicken his release, defense will improve. At the plate, Nicholas is a strong hitter with an athletic set-up, good balance, and direct barrel to the ball. He makes consistent contact and uses his lower body well. More rhythm and letting the ball travel deeper can help hitting get even better.

Nicholas is an athletic C/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well solid hitting / power potential with an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Behind the dish, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.65-2.75 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He sticks balls well in the zone through the receiving process. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but to square balls up more while tucking his chin. In the OF, he displays smooth clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. With 3 years to further develop, Nicholas has potential with time and room to progress his game.
