Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • 2B/1BPosition Projection

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nick is a talented 1B in the 2025 class. In the field, he uses proper pre-pitch steps to gain a ready position. He centers his body to the baseball and has the trust factor to make routine plays look routine. Arm has strength (80 velo) and by staying in his legs more, he can maintain balance for improved accuracy. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and gains separation. Timing is smooth and stays inside his feet well. Path is level and the ball jumps off the bat (89 exit velo). Shows gap-to-gap production with projectable power. Overall, Nick is a player to watch and scouts are eager to see his adjustments at future BF events.

07/19/2021 - All-In Membership - Houston, TX Nick is a 2B/1B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build, with some strength present, and room to fill throughout. At 2B, he shows good rhythm to his actions and a good pre-pitch routine. Creates good fielding angles and ability to pick out hops. Accurate/on-line throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity of 76mph. Plays with good effort and energy. At 1B, he starts with active/efficient feet and low fielding position. Works to center baseball and keeps his feet moving through the process. Showed good feet around the bag. A right-handed hitter, hits from a crouched and square stance. Compact swing, with intent in swing, who tracks pitches well. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 81mph during BP. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
