06/14/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Nick is a 3B/RHP with good ability at both positions. Offensively, he showed hand activation at launch with balance and simplicity. He was direct down to contact and hit to all fields. He was level with his path, generating good line-drive contact and will increase his pop as he stays closed with his front foot and loads more on time. At third, he has good body control and decent footwork that allows him to make plays with ready/sure hands. He does a good job of coming to get slow rollers, despite needing to work on his foot speed / agility. On the hill, he threw three pitches - a FB, CB, and CH. He was mechanically sound and stayed low in the zone. There is more velocity in his lower half and he needs to be sure to get front side extension and not recoil. All in all - Nick is a great kid that has a good baseball IQ and great instincts.
