01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Nick continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 78-78 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Nick is very athletic and will get looks from the college coaches as he continues to progress his game.
