08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Nikholas continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, he has improved his hitting potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays proper footwork he works to square balls up. Glove action is soft / sure but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls through a low approach. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 60 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player.

01/07/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Bradenton (Tampa Bay), FL Nikholas is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. On the mound, Nikholas has a clean arm circle, he repeats his delivery, and finishes with proper length out over his front knee. At the plate, Nikholas has a square set-up, he tracks the ball well, and he finds the barrel consistently. He puts the bat on the ball and hits hard to the pull side. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
