02/17/2020 - National Tryout - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.01. He gets rid of the baseball through a quick transfer/exchange with accuracy and carry (87 mph velocity) on his throws. Hands are soft/sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving/blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop.

02/18/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Noah is a solid, strong catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a quick transfer/exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.05 range with accuracy and zip (86 mph velocity) on his throws. He tracks balls well and sticks them in the zone and utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball utilizing all fields, and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Noah has upside and will get looks from collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
