05/24/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Mooresville (Charlotte), NC Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix and has improved his arm strength as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Breaking ball sits from 60-65 mph with 11/5 shape gradual break. Changeup sits from 67-68 mph with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power (88 mph exit velocity) driving the ball best to the pull side.

04/28/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Charlottesville, VA Noah continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balanced. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 70-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
