11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Noah continues to show great improvement and development in his overall skills. On the mound he continues to show consistency in his mechanics with a controlled balance point, on-time separation, and in line with his target. He showed great command of his fastball and curveball, attacking the strike zone. He can continue to focus on keeping his hips closed and work on finishing with more chest to knee. In the field, Noah has shown excellent improvement especially in his overall foot speed and approach. His range has improved and has improved fielding the ball out in front while working around the ball. He will project best at SS due to the range he displays. At the plate, Noah showed more of an aggressive approach but will need to focus on staying under control in the box. Noah is a strong kid with power, mainly to the pull side and fast bat speed. Lower half gets through but can be aware of opening his front side too early. Overall, Noah continues to show improvement in his game and is going to have a bright future moving forward as he focuses on the areas above.

01/13/2012 - Arizona National Spring Training - 2012 (Pre HS) Noah is a 2017 graduate who is a RHP/SS. On the mound he has a controlled balance point, good separation, he is in-line to his target, he attacks the zone, stays through the pitch well and he is athletic off the mound. He needs to use his glove side more, his lower half flies through too early and he needs to develop his off-speed pitches CB/CH. In the infield Noah has sure hands, a good low/square fielding position, playable range and accurate feeds. He needs to field the ball out in front, get around the ball more/play through it with the right foot in front (not a shuffle). At the plate Noah showed good potential. He has an athletic setup, hands back load, lower half gets through, very good bat speed and he consistently squares the ball up. He needs to stay aggressive at the plate but under control, allow the ball to travel into the proper hitting zones. Noah showed the ability to make adjustments in Arizona which is a good sign for his future. If he keeps working and making the adjustments that have been recommended he will find success in baseball.

12/11/2011 - Interactive Video Program - Ontario, CA Noah is a young, RHP / SS with a thin, athletic build. On the mound, Noah has a long arm action, a controlled balance point, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He has on-time separation, level shoulders, and he is around the zone with his pitches. Defensively, Noah has soft / sure hands, fluid / active feet, and he centers the ball well. He fields in a low / athletic position, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a loose arm action with consistency to his target. At the plate, Noah has a square / athletic set-up, a short / square stride, and good balance. He has fast bat speed, he makes hard contact, and he can hit to all fields. Noah swings in good rhythm and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Noah is a solid young player and can improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Stay closed longer
2. Glove side lead
3. Sharpen CB
Defense
1. Glove extension
2. Long toss
Offense
1. Physical strength
2. Let ball travel

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
