Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/3BPosition Projection

11/10/2019 - College PREP - Davie, FL Noah is an athletic and strong 2021 utility prospect. At 1B, Noah is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and has good hands. He has a clean exchange, good footwork off the bag, and makes accurate throws. At the hot corner, Noah is on time with his prep step, he fields the ball in an athletic position, and has proper footwork on double plays. At the plate, Noah starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and has a fluid load. He gets to balance at contact, he creates backside drive with his lower half, and has fast hands to the ball. He shows pull side power but he looks to drive the ball to all fields.

02/10/2019 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Noah is a strong OF/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Noah shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Noah improve as an OF. At 1B, Noah shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. Noah can improve as a 1B by increasing his lateral range. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid pop to his pull side. Driving his lower half more can help Noah improve as a hitter. With two more years to develop, Noah has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/21/2018 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Noah is a young, 2-way player with good skills. At 1st base, Noah moves around the bag well, hands and feet are playable, and he makes the routine plays. He keeps the ball in front of his body and has an accurate arm to his target. Abilities at 1B can improve if Noah can quicken footwork, field out front, and get rid of the ball quicker. In the OF, Noah attacks the ball aggressively, he tracks well, and throws with good direction toward his cut off man. Outfield skills can get better if Noah can quicken feet and add arm strength and accuracy. Offensively, Noah has a square set-up, a fluid swing, and good balance. He has good barrel accuracy, some pop in his bat, and he uses his lower body. If Noah can let the ball travel deeper, and level off his swing, hitting can improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
