07/28/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in the 2.38 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the ball quicker. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open, athletic setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 10 with a 3B. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-75 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and late break. He maintains arm speed and shows a feel for pitch with sinking action. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has great knowledge of the game.

01/26/2020 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Noah is an athletic C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. Behind the plate, Noah shows efficient footwork to block and centers the ball in the middle of his body. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with a firm glove. He makes a quick exchange and gains ground well on his throws, creating good carry through the 2B bag. Working on his arm accuracy can help Noah improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives and gap to gap pop. Noah can improve as a hitter by loading the bat in front of his head. On the mound, Noah shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 70mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 63-64mph with sudden 11-5 break. Splitter sits from 66-67mph with good movement. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Noah improve as a pitcher. Overall, Noah is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
