01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Croft is an exciting prospect. A pure athlete behind the dish who can swing it. He is quick around pitches in the dirt, centering/deadening them off of his chest. A quick exchange and cannon for an arm; runners will not want to test. At the plate, barrel delivery is short/quick with fast speed, resulting in hard contact. Ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it and drives it to all parts of the field. Noah will be a run producer with his ability to drive to the ball to the gaps. Only a 2015 grad - Noah Croft is a name that you'll be hearing a lot over the next couple of years.

09/01/2013 - College PREP - Kansas City, MO Noah is a gifted athlete, posting measurables that are very impressive for a junior in high school. At 6'3, 210, he is a solid, athletic catcher with a strong lower half. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.79 60 time. He utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in working in line through a quick transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times are superior, showing a range of 1.85-1.91 as he will control the running game with his feet and arm at next level. Arm strength on the radar gun clocked in at 91 mph as well. Throws display life, accuracy, and on line carry through his target as he shows a pro level arm. Receiving / blocking skills shows as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, Croft continues to shine displaying outstanding hitting / power grades through an athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed to and through the ball with a short / direct / level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered as he will hit and hit with power at the next level. With 2 years to further develop, Noah has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities. He is one to watch.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
