Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1BPosition Projection

06/05/2016 - College PREP - Bakersfield, CA Noah is a strong/projectable player who continues to excel at 1B. Batting from the right side, Noah is a very aggressive hitter with fluid rhythm. He shows the ability to separate his hands from his body, maintain good balance and complete a powerful swing with good rotation in his hips and hands. His 96 mph exit velocity off the bat is in the top tier for his class. Defensively, Noah is sure handed with accurate arm. He gets eye level with ground balls and fields ball out front tracking it into his mitt. He is efficient with his footwork and has good feel for footwork around the bag. Overall, Noah is a strong framed 1B who has upside on the diamond.

10/24/2014 - 2014 Under Armour So Cal Classic Underclass Participant Big body, strong, line drive pop, open stance, strong hands, big time power, very raw

10/01/2014 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic Noah is a young two-way player that has a tremendous personality and is very coachable. Offensively, he has tremendous raw power with his big frame and natural leverage. He generates excellent bat speed and is very coordinated with his hands and hips which often leads to the ball being hit very far. When Noah begins to trust his ability more and refrains from over-swinging, he will increase his barrel accuracy and ultimately increase his overall hitting ability as well. But there is no denying his current power output which will also continue to improve as he gets older. Defensively, he makes plays with good hands at first. He picks the ball well and with increased agility will increase his ability to play 1B at the next level. On the mound, he pounds the zone with his FB, CB and CH. He has great presence with his size and loves to compete. He understands the game and mixes his pitches well after reading swings. All in all - Noah is a pleasure to coach with his mature personality and leadership qualities.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Noah is a big / athletic 1B that also pitches. In the field he is very agile for his size and showed good range. He fields with sure hands, has quick feet, and uses the proper footwork with his approach. At the plate he has a smooth load, good balance, and uses his lower half extremely well. Noah stays inside of the ball and delivers the barrel with good accuracy. He made solid contact during games and sprayed the ball in the gaps. Noah should continue to get even stronger and will be a power threat at the next level. On the mound he has a great presence and finishes his pitches well with good extension. His fastball has good life and he works down in the zone throwing strikes consistently. His curve has an 11/5 shape with good tilt and he shows good command. Noah will be a player to watch as he continues to improve his game in all areas.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
