Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHPPosition Projection

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Noah showed strictly as a RHP at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament with Baseball Factory. On the hill, he threw his FB with tail, spun an 11/5 CB from 61-63, and showed a CH from 67-68. He picked up the target early and rotated his hips to help generate torque and arm whip. He was free with his arm action and had good front side lead and tuck to stay directional and in the zone. In all - at 6'4/190 lbs, Noah has a phenomenal pitcher's frame that projects.

10/11/2015 - National Tryout Plus - Gaffney, SC Noah only showed on the mound at the event and has improved his abilities on the bump with a promising future on the diamond. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 79-81 mph with life and on a downhill plane. Breaking ball is an outstanding pitch that will get outs at the next level, displaying 11/5 shape with sharp / late break and good depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight arm side run but throws too close to fastball velocity. Command / control are tremendous as he pounds the zone, locating all his pitches to both sides of the plate. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength. With 2 years to further develop, Eaker has the makings of a special type arm on the mound.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Noah is a RHP with a lot of upside on the mound. He has a great mound presence and works quick to the plate. He pounds the zone with his fastball and curve. His fastball stays down in the zone and it has natural cutting action making it a tough pitch to square up. His curve is a swing and miss pitch with good depth. His delivery is clean / repeatable and will only get better with more arm strength. At the plate Noah has a good load, strong balance, and uses his lower half well. He has quick bat speed for his age and he delivers the barrel with good accuracy. He is a tough out as he works the count in his favor with each at bat and sees a lot of pitches. With his approach at the plate, Noah should continue to give any team quality at bats consistently.

07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Noah is an intelligent player, good teammate and is very coachable. As a pitcher he has a very projectable body, good tempo, balance point and he throws strikes. He needs to lengthen his arm action on the backside, stay in-line to target and finish with extension out front. Behind the plate Noah displayed good receiving skills, soft/sure/firm hands and he blocks the ball well. He can improve by shortening his arm action so the pop times will go down. At the plate Noah has an athletic setup, solid load, centered balance, lower half works, timing/rhythm were good and he made hard contact from an on-plane swing path. He needs to start improving his mental approach at the plate and get a lot reps to be more consistent.

04/21/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Greenville, SC Noah is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who Pitches and Catches. On the mound, Noah has a free / loose arm action, level shoulders, and he keeps his eyes on target. He has good direction toward home and lands in a square position. Behind the plate, Noah has soft hands, he centers the ball well, and he has a quick release with accuracy to 2nd base. Offensively, Noah has an open set-up, good balance, and average bat speed. His swing is level, he makes consistent contact, and he gets his lower body through. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Balance point
2. Separation
3. Finish
Catching
1. Sooner target
2. Long toss
Offense
1. Rhythm / Timing
2. Let ball travel
3. Load / stride

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
