07/09/2019 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Noah continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.13. Behind the dish, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show in the range of 1.97 as he will control the running game with his feet and arm. Receiving / blocking skills are tremendous tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (82 exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 82 mph. Fastball shows good cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp breaking action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight tailing action. Off speed stuff show as quality tools that will get outs at the next level. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Noah is an athletic and talented 2020 catching prospect with high energy. Behind the dish, Noah starts in a balanced primary and athletic secondary stance. He presents a big target, works behind the ball, and controls pitches down in the zone. He has a clean exchange, creates momentum with his lower half, and makes strong throws to the bases. He does a good job blocking the ball and works laterally well. At the plate, Noah starts in a tall and open stance. He rotates his core well and has a middle approach. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, attack the inside part of the ball, and creates backside drive with his lower half. On the mound, Noah has a deceptive delivery and shows confidence in his pitches. He attacks hitters in and throws both pitches for strikes. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and works north to south in his delivery. Noah has a high baseball IQ, works hard, and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/09/2018 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Noah continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.96. He will control the running game with his feet and arm. Receiving/blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, power potential is now outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2017 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. At the plate is where he has improved the most through a squared/athletic setup, now displaying well above average hitting abilities. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Behind the plate, Noah shows accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength. He shows a solid setup and soft glove action, sticking balls in the zone well. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process and is a wall behind dish. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 71-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late/sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

08/08/2017 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Noah showed improvements in his overall game during his last workout in Trenton. Behind the plate, Noah has a good set-up, a soft glove, and fluid footwork. He blocks and receives the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he delivers the ball with carry and accuracy to 2nd base. Pop times dropped to 2.16. On the mound, velocity increased to 75 MPH, arm circle is loose and free, and he shows good direction toward home. Noah showed an improved CB, he has good direction toward home, and he finishes in a complete position. At the plate, Noah raised both hitting and power grades. He keeps a still head in the box, hands are quick, and rhythm is smooth. Noah showed fast bat speed, a solid swing path, and he uses his lower body well.

07/29/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Noah is a lean C/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, Noah showed accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer/exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Receiving/blocking skills show as quality tools as he continues to develop and get more reps. He is a vocal leader on the field and shows a solid feel for the game. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 67-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 4 years to further develop, Noah has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
