Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/1BPosition Projection

07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Noah is a tall, 2-way player who pitches and plays 1st base. On the mound, Noah has a clean arm action, he stands over the rubber well, and works on a downhill plane. He repeats his delivery, has a controlled landing, and competes in the zone with his pitches. If Noah can avoid throwing across his body, add arm strength, and finish off his pitches more, abilities on the mound can get better. At 1st base, Noah makes plays on balls hit his way, he keeps the ball in front, and throws with accuracy to his target. Noah will need to play lower, field more out in front, and shorten his throwing motion for defense to get better. Offensively, Noah shows a relaxed approach, a good load, and a square stride. He has good balance, a level swing, and flashes some bat speed. Hitting can improve if Noah can stay short and let the ball travel further into the hitting zone.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
