11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Noah is a hardworking C/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set. As a left-handed hitter, Noah has a square setup with his weight in the back of his stance. He has a load with a closed stride. Noah has an aggressive approach with an on-plane swing path. He is developing bat speed and flashes bat control. Noah is a contact type hitter and shows solid contact to the pull side. Behind the plate, Noah has an effective setup and moves smoothly. He stays square to the pitcher and lets the ball travel as he receives it. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He is working on a quicker release and developing arm strength. Noah does a nice job blocking the baseball and is quick to his feet. On the mound, Noah pitches with good tempo and makes adjustments. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a stiff arm action. Noah cuts off his release and lands open to home plate. He can benefit from a longer stride and finishing with his chest over his front knee. Noah does a nice fielding his position. Overall, Noah is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to improve his game with development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
