01/16/2015 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Inch showed only on the mound at the event and continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 86 mph. Fastball showed a range of 81-86 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/8 shape with short / sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he continues to build more arm strength.

09/28/2014 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Noah showed improvement on a multitude of his tools. His 60yd and H-1B time improved along with raising his velocity. On the bump, his command is strong with slight run on his FB. He does a good job of keeping his eyes on the target that gives him good direction towards the plate. His abilities on the mound will improve by long tossing, using his lower 1/2 more, and maintaining the same arm speed with his 3 pitches. At the plate, he gets back into a solid power position, throw the hands and uses his lower 1/2 well. He has good pop and drives the ball to all parts of the field. By being more fluid and extending through the zone, Noah will improve his abilities with the stick. He has worked hard and should make an impact on the diamond.

09/29/2013 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Noah is a young, tall, and lean LHP that will graduate in 2016. He only worked out of the stretch at the event. Delivery is repeatable as he uses his lower half well and allows his arm action to work well to the plate through a 3/4 arm slot. Arm strength is solid as he topped out at 82 mph. Fastball shows a range of 78-82 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break and shows as a quality pitch when he stays on top. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program and he works to throw more strikes with all his pitches. With 3 years to further develop, Noah has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
