01/20/2020 - National Tryout Plus - Omaha, NE Noah is an athletic C/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Noah shows efficient footwork and overs up well when blocking. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. Sitting in a lower stance can help Noah improve as a C. In the OF, Noah shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Noah can improve as an OF by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He gets good extension through the ball with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Taking a more level swing path can help Noah improve as a hitter. Overall, Noah is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/15/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Kansas City, KS Noah continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.15 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and receives the ball well. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth, clean actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind fly balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved, now through a tall, squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. The baseball comes off the bat well when centered.

01/21/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Omaha, NE Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active and he gains ground in working in line to his target and gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest times to date at 2.04 with accuracy and zip (81 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup with a soft glove that sticks ball in the zone and utilizes his body well through the blocking process but will benefit by getting down sooner. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works behind and plays through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the baseball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Noah continues to shine on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.20 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Feet are quick in gaining ground through a clean transfer / exchange. He shows a solid setup and sticks balls well in the zone and utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/15/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Omaha, NE Noah is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays OF. Behind the plate, Noah has active feet, he sits-in athletically, and presents his glove well. He has quick overall actions, gains ground, and throws with accuracy and consistency to 2nd base. In the OF, Noah tracks the ball well, his feet are active, and he takes good angles to the ball. He has a clean exchange and throws with a quick arm action with carry to his target. Offensively, Noah has a tall/open stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He has a direct barrel to the ball and can work it gap to gap. Noah has nice overall skills and can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
