07/26/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 79-82 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink in the 70-72 mph range. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth/athletic actions. He reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes/angles. He works behind the baseball and plays through with momentum to his target and gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate he shows a squared setup and good plate discipline. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

01/29/2017 - College PREP - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Noah is a well-built 2018 two-way prospect who is currently more advanced on the mound. He features three above average offerings on the bump with the ability to throw each for strikes in any count and generate outs. He works from a high 3/4 arm slot with a smooth delivery that is in line to the plate with good poise and balance. His loose arm action allows him to pump his tailing fastball up to 84 mph, his 11-5 curve shows downward break and his changeup has deception. In the OF, he takes good angles to the ball and works athletically with fluid footwork to extend his range. His hands are soft to field and he exchanges and releases very quickly to throw accurately to his target. At the dish, he is quiet in his setup and load while working on a flat path to the ball to make consistent contact. His lower half works well with good rotation to generate bat speed and power, especially to the pull side to impact the ball with authority. Starting his hands earlier will get him in a better position to his consistently and improve his approach moving forward. Noah is a prospect we will definitely be keeping an eye on moving forward.

07/14/2016 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 2 Noah is a strong, young two-way prospect with good tools and upside. He is polished on the mound with a clean delivery and loose arm action. From a high 3/4 delivery, he features a fastball that touches 80mph that he can cut or run, a sharp 11-5 curveball and a deceptive changeup with run. He displays sound mechanics with good rhythm and tempo and he has good feel for pitching. At the plate, Noah displays his strength with some pop, especially to the gaps. He has good rhythm with active hands and takes the bat directly to the ball to make consistent contact. Working on keeping his wrists strong will allow him to hit more line drives and become a complete hitter. Noah is a talented kid with a bright future on the field.

07/14/2015 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 2 Noah is a 5'9/155 lbs RHP/3B that shows consistent ability on all sides of the ball. On the hill, he threw a FB from 70-72, spun an 11/5 CB from 66-68, and showed a CH with sink from 62-65. He pitched downhill and finished with his chin over his front knee. He had good hip rotation to boost velo and with a longer stride will increase velo and pitchability further. At the hot corner, he shows good feel for making plays and threw from different arm slots with accuracy. He was strong making routine plays and had the proper footwork to throw with a clean arm stroke. Offensively, he had a good setup at the dish and maintained his posture throughout the swing. He rotated his core to get the barrel through the zone, but could add more lower half involvement for some explosiveness. All in all - Noah is an intriguing player that has a bright future ahead of him with more strength and consistency.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
