Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • CPosition Projection

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Noah is a physical 2022 catching prospect with present strength. He is a run-producing type of hitter with present raw power and loft to his right-handed stroke. He generates good bat speed with quick hands and has feel for the barrel. Behind the dish has good receiving and blocking skills and uses his arm strength (89 mph raw) and accuracy to throw effectively to the bases. Noah can also jump on the mound and throw strikes with a 3-pitch mix, though his highest ceiling appears to be as a position player. This is an impact bat to watch closely.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Noah continues to show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.28 runner. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his best pop time to date at 2.03 with accuracy / carry (83 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine with outstanding hitting abilities with near pro level power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (93 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run / sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Noah is a strong C/RHP prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Behind the plate, Noah presents a good target to the pitcher and tracks the ball into his glove. He makes a clean exchange and shows good strength on his throws to 2B. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a tall setup. He is controlled getting into a simple load and is explosive driving his lower half through. He takes a smooth swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Noah shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 83mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 71-74mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 73-76mph. Overall, Noah is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his sophomore season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
