10/07/2015 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Noah continues to show improvement in his game as he enters his final year as a C. At the plate, this RHH continues to hit from a strong base and engaged lower 1/2. He hits with a mature approach and shows his ability to make in-game adjustments. He has a good 2 strike approach, battling and proving to be a tough out. Staying through the ball and keeping the head still/on the ball will improve his hitting abilities. Defensively, release is quick/smooth as he puts the ball on the 2B bag. He is an active catcher with advanced blocking skills and a soft chest to deaden the ball. This well rounded backstop will find success (in his senior year) and in preparation for the next level.

07/08/2015 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Noah continues to impress with his skills behind the dish. Quick lateral footwork allows him to get around pitches in the dirt to his right and left. Transfer/exchange is quick as he puts throws on the bag in an impressive 1.97. At the plate, this RHH has a balanced setup with rhythm to load. He takes an aggressive hack and squares the ball up consistently. He hits the ball where it's pitched and sprays line-drives. More power potential is there with more lower 1/2 drive. Noah is a talented player who will make an impact on the diamond.

12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Noah is a switch-hitting (C/3B) who has a solid/projectable build. From the left side of the plate, he displays an open stance with a consistent direct bat path thru the baseball. The ball explodes off the bat as he drives it to all parts of the field. From the right side of the plate, he utilizes his lower 1/2 well and squares the ball up. Behind the plate, Noah sits in well, with relaxed/loose actions. He is quiet receiving the baseball with a soft mitt yet sticks pitches framing well and getting his pitchers more strikes. Noah shows a tremendous amount of enthusiasm on the field. Anyone can see that he loves to play the game and his positive energy rubs off on his teammates.

07/22/2014 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Noah is a solid, athletic, switch hitting catcher who will graduate in 2016. Behind the plate, Noah has good body control, quick actions, and soft / sure hands. He blocks well, gets to his feet quickly, and gains ground well. Noah has a good arm stroke and accuracy to 2nd base. A little wider base, quicker feet, and added arm strength will help defense get better. At the plate, Noah is equally as good from both sides. He shows a balanced / athletic set-up, a good load, and he swings in good rhythm. Noah has fast bat speed, and gets solid extension through the baseball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
