Official Scouting Report

  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Noah is an OF/2B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. In the OF good first step reads enables him to cover ground in all directions and make routine plays. He works behind/through the baseball with a high 1-hand catch and keeps his feet active throughout the fielding process. Made accurate throws through the cutoff man from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 77mph. At 2B shows active feet and closes distance on batted balls. He fields from a low fielding position with hands out front. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base. Scouts and coaches agree he showed better in the OF during his workout. At the plate he hits from an athletic and open stance. Showed good plate discipline as he only offered at pitches in the strike zone. Gets his hands separated and keeps his weight between his knees. A flat barrel path enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 72mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee the 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Noah continues to shine with his baseball abilities. At 2B, he works to square balls up and makes the routine plays. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and he maintains balance. On the mound, Fastball shows a range of 64-66 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and develops off speed pitches. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

10/17/2021 - All-In Membership - Grapevine (DFW), TX Noah is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2025. At SS, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he shows a three-pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 66 mph. Fastball shows good tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With 4 years to further develop, Noah has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
